IEEE IES SBC conducted a webinar on ‘Career in Semiconductor Industry’ in association with
IEEE SB NSSCE.The session was conducted on 7th October from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and it was
handled by Mr.Rony Alex Thomas, SoC design validation engineer at Intel.
The session focused on the importance of high performance chips and semiconductors
addressing the needs of diverse devices.The speaker talked about how we should be
committed to innovation and how we can excel in making components that play a major role
in powering an extensive range of technologies.
The speaker also discussed about how semiconductors are named as brains of modern
electronics and how the world could not essentially run without semiconductors.He also
mentioned the increasing market growth in the industry and the potential of a good career
in it.
The session was interactive and engaging as many participants had their queries
answered.The session provided a greater insight as to what possibilities can the
semiconductor industry provide us with.Some of the students shared their feedbacks and talked about their interest in pursuing a career in the same.
