IEEE London Section 2024 AGM
This is the London Section's 80th year and AGM. The AGM provides an opportunity to update members on Section activities, to announce the election of the 2025 executive, and to recognize key contributors with awards.
This year's AGM is being held at the Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre, 551 Windermere Road, London, ON. The agenda is shown below.
We require registration so we know attendance for planning the event. The dinner is buffet style, with gluten free and vegetarian options. Also, all chicken and seafood options at the buffet are Halal as standard practice at Ivey-Spencer.
Parking Directions
On entry into the Ivey-Spencer lot directly from Windemere Rd guest cars should proceed down the hill, to the right of the mansion, heading to the south side of the building (farthest from Windermere Road) where they can enter the Reception Hall. The dining room is adjacent to the lobby, and their staff will be available to direct guests to Spencer’s meeting room.

Dennis Michaelson of Western University
A Personal History of Computing
This talk provides a personal perspective on the computing landscape and how it has changed over the course of my schooling and career. If you have been in the field for a while then you will likely recognize some of the landmarks I will be discussing, and if you are at an early stage in your career you will hopefully enjoy some of the interesting history behind the technologies that we often take for granted.
