Event Overview
The IEEE Student Branch at Dronacharya College of Engineering organized an Aptitude Quiz for students of the Electronics department for IEEE Days 2024. The quiz was conducted on Mentimeter, an interactive online platform, which enabled real-time responses and fostered engagement among participants. The event aimed at testing the analytical, logical reasoning, and general knowledge skills of the participants while promoting a sense of healthy competition among electronics students.
Objectives
- To test the analytical and logical thinking abilities of the students.
- To enhance students' problem-solving skills and foster critical thinking.
- To encourage active participation in IEEE student branch activities.
- To build awareness about aptitude and reasoning, which is crucial for job placements and higher education.
Quiz Format
The quiz comprised various rounds covering different categories:
- General Aptitude: Logical reasoning, puzzles, numerical ability.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic questions related to electronics and communication engineering concepts.
- Current Affairs: Questions related to recent trends in technology and global events.
- Bonus Round: Fun questions designed to test quick thinking and teamwork.
Each student was required to respond to questions within a set time limit, and their responses were displayed in real-time on the Mentimeter dashboard. This feature allowed participants to see their scores and positions live, which increased engagement and competitiveness.
Results and Winners
The top three participants who performed exceptionally well in the quiz were:
- Aryaman - First place
- Purab - Second place
- Divyanshu - Third place
Feedback and Conclusion
Participants expressed positive feedback regarding the quiz format and the use of Mentimeter, highlighting its user-friendly interface and engaging nature. The quiz not only provided an opportunity for students to test their aptitude but also encouraged active learning and interaction. Many students suggested organizing more such events in the future to further develop their skills in a competitive environment.
