IEEE DAY Celebration 2024 - Day 2: Visions Of Bapu Ji Competition (Article Writing Competition)
This event of IEEE DAY Celebration 2024 is organized by IEEE BBDITM in Collaboration with the cultural society of the college Karmavesh. The final event of the day was the Article Writing competition, where participants were asked to write an in-depth article on the topic “The Relevance of Gandhi’s Vision in Modern India.” The articles were judged based on their analytical depth, structure, originality, and relevance to the theme. Participants explored various aspects of Gandhi’s philosophy, including his emphasis on rural development, his advocacy for non-violent resistance, and his belief in the power of individuals to bring about social change. Some articles focused on how Gandhi’s principles could address contemporary issues like poverty, environmental degradation, and political corruption. Others provided a critical analysis of whether Gandhi’s ideals could realistically be applied in a world dominated by technology, capitalism, and globalization. The articles were thought-provoking and offered both praise and critique of Gandhian philosophy. The judges were particularly impressed by the ability of participants to connect historical ideals with present-day challenges, demonstrating that Gandhi’s legacy is not just about the past, but also about the future.
