WEB-OLUTION (Day-1)
BEC-IEEE Student Branch (35261) has conducted a 2-days workshop called “WEB-OLUTION” in our college. The workshop was open to students of all branches. This workshop was designed to empower participants to create their own professional portfolios and simple websites using no-code and open-source tools and give them hands-on experience of working on these tools, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of technical expertise. The main focus of the workshop was on enabling individuals to build visually appealing and functional online portfolios to showcase their skills, projects, and accomplishments.
Flow of the workshop:
Day 1(7th October 2024, Room No. 206, Main Building)
1. Introduction to the tools: Workshop started with giving an overview of the components of the no-code and open-source tool called WixStudio.
2. Demonstration of Portfolio building: Session continued with the demonstration of building a new visually appealing portfolio on spot using WixStudio.
3. Hands-on experience: In this participants were asked to build a sample portfolio draft, in order to get familiar with all the components in WixStudio.
4. Theme-based competition: As participants had become familiar with all the components in WixStudio, they were given with a challenge to redesign a existing website templet into sports themed website.
