WEB-OLUTION (Day-2)
BEC-IEEE Student Branch (35261) has conducted a 2-days workshop called “WEB-OLUTION” in our college. The workshop was open to students of all branches. This workshop was designed to empower participants to create their own professional portfolios and simple websites using no-code and open-source tools and give them hands-on experience of working on these tools, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of technical expertise. The main focus of the workshop was on enabling individuals to build visually appealing and functional online portfolios to showcase their skills, projects, and accomplishments.
Flow of the workshop:
Day 2(8th October 2024, Placement Cell Labs, MBA Building)
1. Introduction to the new tool: Day 2 of the workshop started with giving an overview of the components of another no-code and open-source tool called Webflow.
2. Demonstration of Website building: Session continued with the demonstration of building a new visually appealing website using Webflow, along with the brief insights about website building.
3. Hands-on experience: In this, participants were asked to build a replica of the website, built during demonstration.
4. Insight on Fonts and Color theory for websites: Participants were introduced to new websites, which will help them in building a visually appealing websites and portfolios.
This event was mainly focused on giving the participants an exposure to no-code and open-source tools, aiding them to build their portfolios and websites without any programming knowledge, making it convenient for Non-IT students to build their portfolios.
