IEEE Day Closing Ceremony: Cake Cutting & Session with Dr. Pawan Kumar on Nanotechnology and Goal Advancement
On October 11,2024 the IEEE student branch at Dronacharya College of Engineering had the privilege of hosting a highly insightful session led by Dr. Pawan Kumar, the Regional Coordinator (R10) of IEEE Nanotechnology Council Women in Nanotechnology and Regional Coordinator (R10) of IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Young Professional. The session started with lamp lightening by Guest speaker, HODs and teachers. The session, titled "IEEE: Advance Personal and Professional Goals," provided an in-depth exploration of how IEEE can be an effective platform for achieving both personal and professional growth.

Nanotechnology and Advancing Personal & Professional Goals
Biography:
Dr. Pawan Kumar, a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Delhi, has an extensive background in nanotechnology, with an M.Tech from NIT Kurukshetra and a Ph.D. from IIT Indore. He has held various leadership roles in IEEE, including Regional Coordinator for IEEE Nanotechnology Council Women in Nanotechnology (R10) and IEEE EDS Young Professionals. He has been recognized with multiple awards, such as the IEEE India Council Award for Outstanding Student Volunteer (2022) and travel grants for international conferences. His research focuses on wide bandgap semiconductors, 2D material-based FETs, and MEMS technology, with numerous publications, including 1 patent, 18 journal articles, and 8 international conferences.
