The session begins with the emphasis that cybersecurity has become a growing concern within the aerospace industry, as digitization in aviation and space exploration quickly takes place. Where the reliance on navigation and communication increases using connected systems, the sector becomes more vulnerable to cyber-attacks. These include sophisticated threats from nation-state attacks, ransomware attacks, supply chain vulnerabilities, and insider threats from potential employee error.

Oussama presented the means of cybersecurity improvement: secure system design, strong encryption, and continuous monitoring. He emphasized that the employees should handle sensitive data and allow only restricted access.
