The NSRIT IEEE STUDENT BRANCH of Nadimpalli Satyanarayana Raju Institute of Technology (Autonomous) has organised "IEEE DAY 2024" from 30.09.2024 to 1.10.24 at Block – II, Mechanical Seminar Hall.
The event has been conducted for internal and external participants. 150 internal participants are from Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Department of Computer Science Engineering and allied branches i.e. Department of Computer Science Engineering (Data Science) and Department of Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning) - II & III year of our college and students from Lendi college also participated.
The event commenced with the official inauguration of IEEE Day 2024, celebrating the significant role of IEEE in advancing technology for humanity. The event was graced by dignitaries from the college administration, faculty members, and students.
The Principal of the college, Professor Dr. S. Shambu Prasad sir addressed the gathering highlighting the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and the role of IEEE in fostering a platform for innovation and research. The Principal emphasized the importance of active participation in technical events and competitions for holistic learning.
The NSRIT IEEE STUDENT BRANCH COUNSELLOR and Head of the Department (HOD) of Electrical Engineering - Dr. R S R Krishnam Naidu has detailed on IEEE Student branch activities of the academic year 24-25,delivered an insightful talk on the importance of industry-academia collaboration and how IEEE initiatives help in shaping future engineers by providing them with exposure to the latest trends in technology.
Dr. B. Siva Prasad (HOD-ECE) and Dr. Rayudu Srinivas (HOD-CSE), Dr.K.Madhavi mam (HOD-CSM) departments shared their perspectives on technological advancements in their respective fields. They encouraged students to actively engage in IEEE activities and continue their journey of learning beyond the classroom. Mr. V. Diwakar-Chair has organised the IEEE Day celebrations. Ms. L.Kavya and Y.K.M.L.G. Ramya has hosted the event.
Dr Sreerama Murthy Velaga Professor - CSE, Dr. K. Rajasekhar, Associate Professor – ECE, B Geeta sri, Asst Professor – CSE, A. Suraj Kumar, Asst,. Prof, Dept of CSE(DS) and J. santoshi Kumari, Sr Asst. prof – CSM has motivated the students in active participation of the events.
A quiz competition was conducted on 30.9.24 FN as part of the event, testing students’ knowledge on various technical topics and current advancements in engineering.

A poster presentation competition was conducted on 1.10.24 as part of the event, testing students’ knowledge on various technical topics and current advancements in engineering.
The quiz and poster presentation competition on IEEE Day was a successful event that fostered knowledge, creativity, and engagement among students. The prize distribution ceremony celebrated the hard work of participants and reinforced the spirit of innovation and collaboration within the IEEE community. We look forward to organizing similar events in the future to further promote engineering and technological advancements.
