WayaXtreme 3.0 was successfully conducted on the 6th of October 2024 as a 12-hour competitive programming marathon. The event aimed to foster collaboration, enhance problem-solving skills, and build a global platform for competitive programming enthusiasts. For the first time, IEEE SB WUSL collaborated with foreign university branches, marking a special benchmark in the history of WayaXtreme coding competitions as the main organizers of the first ever collaborative IEEEXtreme competition in the Sri Lankan section.

The event was a collaborative effort between IEEE Student Branches across multiple regions:

1. IEEE SB CET (Kerala Section)
2. IEEE SB LBSITW (Kerala Section)
3. IEEE SB UPBM (Colombian Caribbean Section)

The cooperation between these branches enabled the exchange of ideas, organizational support, and effective coordination across different time zones, ensuring the success of the competition.

The competition featured various algorithmic and data structure challenges tailored to test the depth of participants’ programming knowledge. The event provided a platform for: promoting problem-solving and coding skills; encouraging team collaboration; fostering international relationships among participants; and enhancing experience with mock tests for global coding events.

WayaXtreme 3.0 successfully promoted interaction between participants and organizers from different cultural and academic backgrounds. Participants gained valuable experience in time management, problem-solving techniques, and collaboration in competitive programming. The involvement of international student branches elevated the event's profile, enhancing the IEEE SB WUSL’s reputation for organizing high-quality, inclusive programming contests.

Participants and collaborators expressed positive feedback on the seamless execution of the event and the quality of challenges provided. Many attendees appreciated the exposure to international competition standards, which will help them in future events.

WayaXtreme 3.0 marked a major achievement for IEEE SB WUSL, not only as a programming competition but also as a platform for fostering international collaboration and student engagement.
