INTRODUCTION OF THE EVENT
The "Code for Earth Ideathon" was an exciting two-round competition aimed at fostering innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Organized by IEEE CUSB Computer society, this event brought together enthusiastic participants from diverse backgrounds, encouraging collaboration and creativity. The first round involved the submission of PowerPoint presentations, where teams showcased their ideas, followed by a shortlisting process. The second round featured live presentations, allowing finalists to pitch their solutions to a panel of esteemed judges. All the ppts focussed on themes provided which included sustainable resource management, ocean and marine conservation, forest biodiversity and many more.
EVENT OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the Code for Earth Ideathon was to inspire participants to develop actionable ideas that address pressing environmental issues. The event sought to promote critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication skills while providing a platform for budding innovators to share their insights and solutions for which they were provided valuable feedback by an experienced jury.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The Ideathon attracted a diverse group of participants, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals, and environmental enthusiasts eager to contribute to sustainable development. The event was designed for individuals with a passion for technology, environmental science, and social impact, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration.
