Web Weaver
The IEEE Student Branch of Jeppiaar Engineering College celebrated IEEE Day on 8th October 2024 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The highlight of the celebration was the "Web Weaver" connections game, which served as an interactive and engaging activity for participants. Organized by Sharmeela AS, Sreenidhi, and Keerthi, the event aimed to foster teamwork and problem-solving skills among students, demonstrating how collaboration in engineering can lead to innovation.
The competition, held from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, attracted 12 teams eager to showcase their analytical thinking. Ms. Jeevitha, chairperson of IEEE SB JEC served as the jury member, evaluated the teams' performances throughout the event. The competition was divided into two rounds. In Round 1, all 12 teams competed, with
their abilities tested through a variety of engineering-based connections and clues. Only 4 teams were selected to advance to Round 2, where the competition intensified, pushing the participants to think creatively and collaboratively.
In the final round, two teams stood out for their exceptional performance: Rithika & Team and Yasmeen & Team. Their teamwork, quick thinking, and innovative approach to the theme "Engineering Based" earned them the top positions, impressing the jury with their ability to solve complex problems under time pressure.
The "Web Weaver" event was a prime example of how IEEE Day celebrates the spirit of collaboration and technological innovation, which are core values of IEEE globally. Through this event, students not only had fun but also experienced how real-world engineering challenges can be addressed through teamwork, critical thinking, and a shared commitment to technological advancement.
