Poster crafts
The IEEE Student Branch of Jeppiaar Engineering College celebrated IEEE Day on 8th October 2024 with great enthusiasm. As part of the celebration, a poster competition titled "Poster Crafts" was organized. The event, led by Suriya T.K. and Chadharatha, ran from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, totaling 1.5 hours. Sanjay Kumaran and Agnias served as the jury members for the competition, and the event was graced by the presence of Sithick Babu, Ambassador of the IEEE Day event.
Seven participants competed, showcasing their creativity across various themes. Arockia Viyanni W from the IT Department (2nd year) was declared the winner for her poster on the theme "Al in 2040." The runner-up position was awarded to Nishanth, a 2nd-year ECE student, for his work on the theme "Al in 2020," while Sanya Joshi S from BTech IT secured the 2nd runner-up spot with the theme "Al in 2040."
Participants were given six themes to choose from: Al in 2040, Future India, Entrepreneur Growth, Gaming in. Real Life, 5G Networks, and Revaluation on AR and VR. On the spot, two specific topics were provided: Al in 2040 and Revaluation on AR and VR. The event saw enthusiastic participation and was a great platform for students to express their vision and creativity.
IEEE Day, celebrated globally, marks the anniversary of the first time IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas. It highlights how technology can be leveraged to solve real-world problems, bringing together innovation and collaboration across the globe.
