Workshop: Detecting Breast Cancer with AI
Workshop Details:
• The workshop began at 14:20 with Iheb starting by explaining the basics of breast cancer, including symptoms, risk factors, and its importance in medical research.
• After covering the fundamentals, the mentor transitioned to discussing deeper topics related to AI in detecting breast cancer.
Coffee Break:
• At 15:20, we took a 15-minute coffee break. During the break, Student Branch members shared cookies with the participants, who also had the opportunity to converse with the mentor, leading to some engaging discussions.
Continuation of Workshop:
• After the break, Iheb continued with the second part of the workshop, diving deeper into the technical aspects. He walked the participants through the code blocks, explaining each block's function in the AI model used for breast cancer detection.
Feedback and Observations:
• The session was well-received by the participants, and the interactive discussions with the mentor during the break were a positive highlight.
• Technical explanations were thorough, though it was noted that some participants needed more background in coding to follow the second half of the workshop.
