IEEE VCET Student Branch in Association with IEEE Mangalore Subsection and IEEE
Bangalore Section celebrated IEEE Day on 7th October 2024 from 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM. IEEE
VCET Student Branch celebrates IEEE Day as IEEE Week by conducting various competitions
and a series of Webinars.
Ashwija U Pai welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Jeevitha B K, branch counselor gave the IEEE
report on all the activities/events organized from October 2023 to till date. Dr. Mahesh
Prasanna K, Principal congratulated all IEEE Members for actively participating in all the
events/competitions organized by Inter and Intra college activities.
Sri. Ravikrishna D Kallaje, Director, Governing Council, VCET Puttur was the chief guest of
the function, Where he mentioned more numbers of opportunities are available in IEEE, and
Students must make proper use of those opportunities. Also asked the students to come up with
socially relevant projects that help society and assured would congratulate those students with
a huge prize.
Chandraprakash Naik and Anushree S were honored as Best IEEE Student Volunteers by Sri
Ravikrishna D Kallaje with a prize amount of Rs. 2,500 each for their outstanding contribution
towards the branch.
At the end, the winners of various competitions were honored with prizes and certificates. At
the end, Rajani Rai B, Faculty Advisor of IEEE VCET Student Branch thanked everyone for
attending the function.
