Circuit Talks
On October 7, 2024, as part of our IEEE Week celebrations at AKGEC, we had the honour of hosting Circuit Talk, organised by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), in the CSIT Seminar Hall!
Dr. Rahul Sharma (HoD IT and IEEE CIS adviser), Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Dr. Anupama Sharma, Dr. Ruchi Gupta, and Mr. Madhav Chaturvedi (Student Head), as well as the entire IEEE Computational Intelligence Society team, worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly.
Our eminent speaker, Mr. R K Sharma, conducted an informative presentation on "Latest Trends in Railways: How Emerging Technologies are Transforming the Railway Sector."
The presentation focused on how innovations such as IoT, AI, big data, and automation are transforming the railway business by improving efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Biography:
R.K. Sharma is an experienced professional with extensive academic and professional experience in electronics, telecommunications, and engineering. He received his education in the Science stream from the State Education Board of Uttar Pradesh, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Agra University.He furthered his education by receiving a B.E. (AMIETE) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Delhi, as well as a distinguished Fellow Membership in IETE. He later earned a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Automation and Robotics from Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College in Ghaziabad.Sir had a passion for teaching and served as an Associate Professor in numerous engineering institutions, specialising in Electromagnetic Theory, Control Systems, Communication Systems, and Signals and Systems. He also has a Radio Telephony Inland Maritime Certificate from the Ministry of Communication, Government of India.Sir passed the UPSC examination to qualify for the Indian Engineering Services (IES) in 2012, and he is now a Group-A Gazetted Officer (Deputy Chief Project Manager) in India's Ministry of Railways.He is now pursuing his Ph.D. at United University in Prayagraj, India, under the supervision of Dr. Ajay Sharma, with a concentration on "Wireless Sensor Networks".
