IEEE DAY 2024 - IEEE SB Escuela Politécnica Nacional
The IEEE DAY, organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the National Polytechnic School (EPN), took place on 05/10 at MMWings restaurant. The main objective of the event was to promote IEEE and recruit new student members. The gathering brought together EPN students, current IEEE members, and external professionals interested in the opportunities and benefits that IEEE offers.
The event was centered around a wings dinner, accompanied by informal presentations highlighting IEEE’s achievements, activities, and projects, as well as the advantages of becoming part of this global network of engineers. Attendees enjoyed a friendly atmosphere conducive to networking, which encouraged students to consider joining IEEE.
The registration fee was $5 for IEEE student members and EPN students, and $11 for professionals and external guests. Participants were treated to wings and had the opportunity to participate in raffles and activities designed to promote interaction among attendees.
The event attracted 40 participants, of which 10 enrolled as new IEEE student members, achieving the primary goal of outreach and recruitment.
In conclusion, the IEEE DAY at MMWings was a success, strengthening IEEE’s presence within the EPN student community and fostering interest in technology and innovation.
