Pratibha Khoj 2024 and 93^rd Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam were organized by IEEE MTT – S SBC, Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, Hyderabad at Department of ECE on October 15, 2024. Pratibha Khoj 2024 saw students participating in various competitions like Project expo, Poster presentation and Essay writing and the winners in the competitions were awarded with prizes. The event was followed by a guest lecture to observe the 93^rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. On this occasion Sri. K. Sambasiva Rao, Scientist ‘E’, Radar Seeker Department, RCI, DRDO, Hyderabad delivered a guest lecture on “Antennas for Defence Applications”. Dr. K. Prahlada Rao, Associate Professor & Faculty Advisor IEEE MTT – S SBC delivered the welcome address. Dr. Kedar Nath Sahu Professor & Head, Department of ECE welcomed the guest, Sri. K. Sambasiva Rao with a sapling. Sri. K. Sambasiva Rao, reminisced the immense contributions of       Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to the fields of education, science and technology. The resource person explained the various antennas and their applications in defence and radar sectors. The guest lecture concluded with the expression of thanks by Dr. K. Prahlada Rao.
