A tour of STP Nuclear Operating Company near Bay City, Texas.

Please read the following before registering:

 

• Registration will close on March 20th
• A background check form must be filled out and returned to attend the tour by the date indicated, email the organizer if you don't have a copy within a day after registering.
• Tour cost is $20 for IEEE members and $40 for non-IEEE members. Charges are non-refundable.
• All attendees must be U.S. citizens
• All attendees must submit their Social Security Number to the South Texas Project for a background check, no exceptions! These can be emailed to Sheila Davis at sddavis@stpegs.com or sent to their fax machine at 361-972-8117.
• This tour will fill up, please notify the organizer if you're unable to attend so that someone on the standby list may fill in.
• You must bring your the photo id with you on the day of the tour.
• Allow for sufficient drive time of just over 3 hours (non-stop).
• No food will be provided as a part of this tour, plan accordingly.
• When you click the register button (not "save and close") you will see the message "You have successfully registered for this meeting" and you will receive a confirmation email to confirm you are registered. If you don't receive a confirmation email, you are not registered.
• If you would like to carpool, please let the host know.

The STP Security form you will receive after you register has the following requirements:

• Clothing and shoe requirements:

  •        Long pants, no capris
  •        Closed toed LEATHER shoes (no canvas tennis shoes), shoes must cover the top of the foot
  •        No heels, no sandals, no mules
  •        Sleeved shirts---short sleeves are fine, no sleeveless
  •        Cotton clothing is preferred

   

  1.     All visitors must have valid ID (driver’s license or passport).
  2.     Must be over 18 years old to attend.
  3.     No cameras.
  4.     This is a walking tour, which covers a lot of ground.  Participants should be able to climb stairs and do moderate walking.
  5.     You can not enter the plant if you have been administered nuclear medicine 45 days prior to the tour.
  6.     Please remember that delays are possible; allow extra time for your trip.
  7.     Any garments worn on the head must be removed to process through the security area.
