Biography:

Stephen Scearce (Cisco) – Stephen is the Hardware Engineering Director of Cisco’s COE Electronics Packaging and Diagnostics team.  He provides the technical direction/leadership for Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, Mechanical/Thermal Design, ECAD, and Software Diagnostics design in US/China.  Stephen has global responsibility for Cisco’s Enterprise Routing, Wireless, Core Switching, Security (SI), and Unified Computing product lines. Stephen has worked for Cisco for 23 years focused in ASIC/System PI, SI, Package Design, and EMC design.  Prior to working at Cisco, Stephen worked for NASA LaRC in the Electromagnetic Research Branch HIRF team. Stephen holds 12 issued patents and has co-authored 17 papers.   He has volunteered for the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society for the past 10 years, and is currently serving as the Society Treasurer, 2022-2024 EMC+SIPI Symposium treasurer, and the Secretary/Treasurer of IEEE Eastern NC Chapter.  Stephen is a graduate of Old Dominion University, Norfolk VA, where he received both his BSET and MSEE.
