Trans receivers SDR Considerations: 5G and IoT
With the realization of SDR based systems, the traditional functions divsions bewteen the receiver and transmitter sections of a transreceiver has lessened considerably. While the front-end of the receiver and the power amplifier of the transmitter remain decidedly different, other elements have merged into digital signal processor (DSP) and related functions. There are numerous examples avaliable of SDR-based transreceivers that reflect the advannced technologies described in the literature, but for the purpose of illustration, thsi talk will cover R&S series 4100 SDR, "HF radio family for stationary and shipborne communications"; R&S series 4200 SDR, "VHF/UHF radio family for ATC Communications"; and R&S M3TR SDR, "Multiband, multimode, multirole radio family for tactical communications",
