Is your startup looking for non-dilutive funding (grants) to boost its growth?

This workshop will give you the practical tools to write effective grant proposals that maximize your chances of obtaining resources.

Requirements to participate

  • To ensure that you get the most out of the workshop, your team must have:
  • A legally incorporated startup or in the advanced process of incorporation
  • A clear project idea, with a brief description of the problem and the proposed solution within the horizon of the grant award date (having a 12-18 month product roadmap is crucial)
  • A team of 2-5 people with key roles (strategy, finance, operations)
  • Basic budget documentation and estimated areas of expenditure

Although the workshop will be in English, team work in breakout rooms can be in other languages.

Biography:

Nélida Gómez will facilitate the workshop. She recently attended an SBIR/STTR funding training and has extensive experience writing grants for startups, non-profit organizations, and scientific organizations, with more than USD$7 million raised and a 95% success rate. Dr. Gómez is an IEEE Senior Member, tech startup cofounder, startup and SMB mentor and advisor, focusing on business models that create value, product-market fit strategies, and pitch preparation.
