Möbius-Graphene Inspired Microwave Components
Graphene is the new emerging material due to its single layer like thin paper with large bulk modulus along the plane, can easily bent and wrapped into carbon nanotubes without deformation, thereby qualify to use Möbius Metamaterial Strips technology for the realization of negative index low loss resonator and novel RF/MW components. Graphene exhibits exceptionally high electron mobility typically 2.5×105 cm2V-1s-1, can support high density of electric currents, thermal conductivity, and elasticity. This talks presents the novel MMS (Möbius Metamaterial Strip) structure, for an example Möbius- Graphene topology for spintronic and Möbius-Metamaterial for VCO applications. For the validation we built 10.24 GHz MMS inspired VCO, MMS Resonator quality factor Q @ 25 000. The prototype unit is packaged in a @ 2.5in3 connectorized aluminum case1, with 600 mW DC power (5V, 120 mA), measured PN (phase noise) performance is better than -130 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset from the carrier, and delivers +12 dBm at 10.24 GHz.
In this talk, speaker will discuss design of Möbius-Graphene Inspired Microwave Components for the applications in moderm communication systems.
