CodeBaton - A relay-style coding competition promoting teamwork, real-time problem-solving, and communication under time constraints.
CodeBaton offered a unique twist on coding competitions, turning coding into a relay-style team event. Each team of three was briefed on the rules: only one member could code at a time while the others strategized, waiting to rotate in on a timed cycle. As each cycle began, the coding role was passed to the next member, and the work continued from where their teammate had left off.
The venue was filled with the hum of focused teamwork, as each coding handover challenged participants to quickly grasp their teammates' progress and adapt accordingly. Coordinators ensured smooth transitions and maintained the event’s rhythm. Each team took on 15 intermediate-level problems, requiring a collaborative balance between speed and accuracy.
As the event drew to a close, contestants were requested to gather together for a photo session, and their stations were left open for evaluation. The event concluded with an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration, marking a successful day of coding excellence.
