UL Robotics Team: 2025 IEEE Region 5 Robot Competition Design Presentation
University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of Electrical Engineering students will participate in the IEEE Region 5 Student Robotics Competition March 29, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas.
This year's robot is constructed to be an autonomous firefighting helper robot. The end goal is for the robot to be able to track through rough terrain to reach a latch. It will then attach a rope (mimics a water hose) to the latch and drag the rope all the way to the source of the fire that was found in round one. This project serves as their senior design project under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Darby.
Meet us at Deano's South (on Kaliste Saloom Rd) the evening of November 19 for the presentation. Please register so that we can provide the restaurant a head count.
