IEEE day celebration and Membership drive
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in collaboration with the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) and the Industrial Electronics Society (IES) NMIT Student Chapter, hosted the IEEE Day Celebration and Membership Drive on October 4th, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of IEEE membership, focusing on its role in advancing knowledge and career opportunities in electrical and electronics engineering.
Students participated in engaging discussions about IEEE’s resources, professional development programs, and global network. They were eager to learn how IEEE could support their academic and career growth. IEEE student volunteers shared their experiences, highlighting the skills, networking opportunities, and career benefits they gained through the organization.
The event concluded with a group photo, where participants and IEEE members formed the IEEE logo, symbolizing the unity and collective spirit of the community. This moment reinforced students' commitment to joining IEEE and contributing to the global network.
