Biography:

Sandeep Khandhar, M.D., F.A.C.S. has a special interest in the management of lung cancer and employing minimally invasive surgical techniques. He earned a degree from Northwestern University in Biomedical Engineering followed by his medical degree. He then went on to complete internship and residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he stayed for fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery and then further specialized in Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Oncology at Duke University. Dr. Khandhar has been practicing thoracic surgery in Northern Virginia for the past 18 years. He is passionate about collaboration, especially with industry, and believes that the best possible patient outcomes occur because of these relationships.
