Minutes of the Meeting:

1.                  The Chair welcomed all members of the CIS/GRSS Joint Chapter Executive Committee.

2.                  The agenda items were discussed, leading to the following resolutions:

i.       Dr. Keely has agreed to deliver the GRSS Distinguished Lecture (DL), which will take place in collaboration with the GRSS SB Chapter at CMREC on November 5, 2024. The chapter and CMREC will cover expenses related to local transportation and the felicitation of the speaker.

ii.     A 3-day GRSS-sponsored workshop will be held at IIITK D&M from November 1-3, 2024, in offline mode. A budget of Rs.1,30,000/- is already informed to Hyderabad Section. An advance amount of Rs.50,000/- may be transferred to Dr. Srinivas Naik, Secretary and Ms. Swetha, Treasure.

iii.    A 2-day GRSS-sponsored workshop will take place at VBIT, Hyderabad, on October 29-30, 2024, also in offline mode. This proposed event estimated budget amount is  Rs.25000/-. An advance amount of Rs.15000/- may be transferred to Ms.Swetha, Treasurer.

iv.   Congratulations to Dr. Mousmi on receiving approval and funding to conduct the GRSS SYWC for the first time. The chapter will collaborate with KLU-Hyderabad SB for technical support, with the received grant managed by KLU-H SB.

v.     Dr. Atul Negi will support in selecting the JML speaker, proposed for December 2024. A budget of ₹30,000 will be allocated from the chapter's funds.

vi.   Prof. Ujjwal Moulik has agreed to offer CIS DL for the chapter on 9th December, 2024

vii. Dr. Schinandan is requested to organize a CIS event at VIT-AP.
