Description
The CSTAM 2024 (IEEE Computer Society Tunisian Annual Meeting), held on November 16th and 17th, 2024, in Hammamet, celebrated the theme of Artificial Intelligence in Game Development. This landmark event offered a unique platform for fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing among passionate individuals in the field of AI and gaming.
The program featured an exciting mix of activities, including workshops, panel discussions, challenges, and game nights. Highlights included the Game Night, which brought participants together for thrilling retro games and a gaming tournament, and the Augmented World Workshop, where attendees explored AI's transformative role in gaming.
With distinguished speakers like Mr. Josip Balen, Mr. Hamza Chenenaoui, and Mr. Mohamed Nabli, the event provided valuable insights into the future of gaming and AI. CSTAM 2024 concluded with the announcement of winners and a grand closing ceremony, leaving participants inspired and connected.

Josip Balen Bio: Assoc. Prof. Josip Balen works at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computing, and Information Technology in Osijek, Croatia, where he delivers lectures and conducts laboratory exercises for various courses in the fields of programming, operating systems, application development, and intelligent transportation systems. He has extensive experience in designing and managing projects and has participated as a researcher on various national and international projects. He is a very active member of the IEEE organization, holding numerous positions at the local, national, and global levels. To date, he has received over 10 different international awards for his work.

YP Round Table session: Driving in the future: the role of ai in shaping E-Mobility
The session put forward searches on how AI is going to disrupt the space of e-mobility, from optimization of electric vehicle performance to improvement in autonomous driving.
Mr. Ala presented current key developments in AI technologies and their transformative impact in sustainable transportation, smart infrastructure, and user experience. The format encouraged dynamic discussions: sharing perspectives and posing questions about the challenges and opportunities involved in this evolving field.
This is a very interactive session, which highlighted interesting opportunities at the intersection of AI and e-mobility and triggered imagination on what a future driven by intelligent and sustainable transportation could look like.

Grew up collecting video games as the passion was there since the early 90s.
Had experiences in gaming journalism, including hosting a running weekly show on national radio "Gaming Story."
Technical Adviser with the Tunisian eSports Federation.
Worked on multiple video games as a developer, some of which are today on big platforms like Steam and the Nintendo Switch.
