Biography:

Maigha MAIGHA | Senior Engineer | Doctor of Philosophy, Power and Energy |  Relay and Protection Engineering | Research profile

Dr. Maigha, a licensed professional engineer, is serving as a Sr. Engineer in the Transmission strategy wing of Exelon working on dynamic studies, interconnections and supporting transmission projects. She has over 6 years of utility experience serving in the Relay and Protection, and Smart Grid departments at Commonwealth Edison, a leading utility in northern Illinois. With a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Missouri S&T (Rolla, MO), Maigha followed her passion for research through a post-doctoral position at Clemson University (Charleston, SC) before beginning her career in the utility space. In her roles, she has worked on DOE projects including microgrid and super-fast EV chargers, grid-edge technologies, roadmaps for higher DER penetration and data analytics. She is a trained innovation mentor leading innovation campaigns at ComEd. Maigha is an active member of CIGRE-NGN and CIGRE-WIE along with being a senior member of IEEE.

Biography:

Emre Tokgoz

Dr. Emre Tokgoz has over 20 years of academic experience. His career encompasses extensive teaching, research, and service, as well as collaboration on industry projects with manufacturers and healthcare providers in the Northeast U.S., focusing on technology management and innovation.Dr. Tokgoz holds two independent PhDs in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering, both emphasizing operations research and optimization. His teaching and research span various fields, including engineering technology management, machine learning, computer security systems, computer science, industrial engineering, mathematics, supply chain, biomedical engineering, rocket engine design and development, MBA, and forensics courses.
