Hands-on Workshop on Antenna Placement and Coupling by IEEE and ANSYS
IEEE (Communication Society, Antenna and Propagation Society, Signal Processing Society, Vehicular Technology Society, and Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society) and ANSYS jointly organize a workshop on antenna design and platform integration using ANSYS HFSS & ANSYS Savant. The seating is limited to 10.
This workshop highlights ANSYS Electronics Desktop and the integration of a new solver, SBR+. Attendees will learn how to streamline their antenna design and integration flow by generating and utilizing HFSS 3D component models for use in electrically large simulations. By combining finite elements and shooting and bouncing ray techniques, realistic antenna installations are efficiently and quickly analyzed all within ANSYS Electronics Desktop. Interactions between Tx and Rx antennas can be further evaluated in Savant using visual ray tracing, providing insight on multi-path effects. Whether you are new to simulation or an expert ANSYS HFSS user, this workshop will be valuable to learn about the latest technologies and best practices.
The hands on exercises will demonstrate how to:
- 3D Component Modeling
- Generate 3D component models that can easily be reused and shared between designers
- Use 3D components to streamline simulation setup for antenna placement and coupling analysis
- Perform antenna placement analysis using SBR+ in ANSYS Electronics Desktop
- Determine coupling between multiple antennas and visualize rays using ANSYS Savant
