IEEE Tech Talk, followed by Q&A

Citizen Science Exploration of the Solar Eclipse Effect on Radio Wave Propagation - How can you help measure radio wave propagation during the August 21, 2017 eclipse?

The upcoming solar eclipse over the continental United States gives us a rare opportunity to study radio wave propagation in a manner that sunrise and sunset do not. This presentation will discuss past attempts at such studies and the proposed Citizen Science approach to studying propagation using the upcoming solar eclipse.

The presentation will also include ways that audience members can take part in this effort, including sharing plans for building a simple receiver.
