The IEEE Computer Society at Tafila Technical University proudly organized the highly anticipated CS TECH BATTLE, a large-scale competition that tested the knowledge and skills of students across various computing fields.

The event began with an inspiring opening ceremony featuring remarks from esteemed individuals:

• Prof. Bassam Almahasneh, the University President, delivered a motivating speech, emphasizing the importance of fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Dr. Nancy Ajarmeh, Counselor of the IEEE Student Branch, highlighted the role of competitions in honing students' technical and problem-solving skills.
• Saif Alqdessi, Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Chapter, shared his vision for the chapter and the significance of such events in the academic and professional growth of students.  

Sponsor and Special Session

Our valued sponsor, Morganite School, contributed significantly to the event's success. Their students presented an engaging session on physics, captivating the audience with their knowledge and interactive demonstrations.

The competition featured 6 teams, each representing a major from the computing disciplines:

1. Computer Engineering(CE)
2. Intelligent Systems Engineering(ISE)
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI)
4. Cybersecurity(CYS)
5. Computing Smart Devices(CSD)
6. Computer Information Systems (CIS)

The competition consisted of three rounds:

1. First Round

The initial stage involved all six teams competing in The Bell, a fast-paced game testing quick thinking and accuracy. This round set the stage for the semi-finals.

2. Semi-Finals

The top four teams advanced to the semi-finals, where they faced three exciting games:

• The Bell
• How Much Do You Know?
• Family Feud 

The variety of games ensured a comprehensive evaluation of the teams' knowledge, strategy, and teamwork.

3. Final Round

The grand finale was a thrilling competition between the Artificial Intelligence (AI) team and the Computer Information Systems (CIS) team. Both teams competed in all three games, showcasing their skills and determination. After a nail-biting contest, the CIS team emerged victorious, claiming the title of CS TECH BATTLE champions.

Leadership and Presentation

A special acknowledgment to Leen Alnaqrash, a dedicated IEEE Computer Society member, who led the competition and served as the event's presenter. Her professionalism and enthusiasm brought energy and clarity to the event, ensuring its smooth execution.

The CS TECH BATTLE was an incredible success, uniting students, faculty, and partners in a celebration of innovation and excellence. The event demonstrated the power of collaboration and competition in driving academic and professional growth.
