Louis-Rafaël Robichaud, MSc, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Laval University and is the co-founder and CEO of Femtum, a Canadian company pioneering mid-infrared fiber laser solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. His deep technical expertise in laser physics and optical technology has led to the development of innovative laser correction solutions that improve the yield and energy efficiency of semiconductor AI chip manufacturing processes.

Louis-Rafaël is the author of four patents and has published two first-author scientific papers on supercontinuum generation (SCG), contributing significantly to the field. Additionally, he is a co-author on numerous other scientific publications. His research and entrepreneurial journey have positioned Femtum as a unique innovator in the laser industry, where his patented mid-IR laser technology is addressing key industry challenges and transforming production processes. Under his guidance, Femtum aims to make these lasers the industry standard in semiconductor manufacturing.
