The MLRIT Model United Nations (MLRITMUN) 2024, was an outstanding event that gathered students from diverse backgrounds to simulate diplomatic discussions on crucial global issues. The conference provided a platform for students to enhance their understanding of international relations, debate on pressing topics, and build key skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and collaboration. Objectives of the MUN
The main objectives of MUN 2024 were:
Enhancing Global Awareness: To provide students with a deeper understanding of the political, social, and environmental issues faced by nations worldwide.
Improving Skills: To develop essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, leadership, and diplomacy.
Fostering Networking: To facilitate connections among students from diverse academic backgrounds, promoting cross-cultural exchange.
Promoting Research: To encourage delegates to research deeply into global issues, honing their analytical and research skills.
COMMITTEES
MLRITMUN2024 consisted of 5 committees, each promoting different interests and addressing various issues.
Prize Money
The Prize Pool of Rs 70,000 was divided among all 5 committees, as Rs 12000 for AIPPM, UNHRC, UNODC, G20 each and Rs 7000 for IP, and Rs 15000 for Best Delegation.
The committees were as follows:
AIPPM(All India Political Parties Meet): A simulation of Indian political discourse, where representatives from various political parties debate pressing national issues and propose policy solutions.
Agenda:
Discussion on the need and viability of reforms in the administration of religious institutions and their endowments.
The Executive Board Panel: The Executive Board of AIPPM consisted of highly experienced MUNers from the Hyderabad circuit.
The Panel members were:

UNODC(United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime):
A committee focusing on addressing global challenges related to drug control, crime prevention, and combating international terrorism and corruption.
Agenda: Strengthening laws and international cooperation to prevent corruption in both public and private sectors and fighting illicit financial flows.
The Executive Board Panel:
The Executive Board of UNODC consisted of highly experienced MUNers from the Hyderabad circuit.
The Panel members were:

UNHRC(United Nations Human Rights Council):
A platform for delegates to discuss and propose resolutions on critical human rights violations, striving to uphold universal rights and freedoms.
Agenda: Deliberation on the rights of minorities with special emphasis on ensuring equality, social inclusion and socio-economic participation.
The Executive Board Panel: The Executive Board of UNHRC consisted of highly experienced MUNers from the Hyderabad circuit.

enthusiastic audience.

● USG Hospitality: Ensured a comfortable and enriching experience for delegates and guests, managing accommodations and refreshments seamlessly.
● USG Video & Design: Makes sure the event has a good social media image with timely promotional videos and making timely montages.
