An Awareness Program on Promoting recycling, waste reduction and Conservation practices
The IEEE SB of MBU along with NSS unit of MBU has initiated a awareness program on dynamic recycling and conservation campaign to promote sustainable practices. The focus is on recycling, waste reduction, and encouraging visitors to adopt conservation-minded behaviors. Through this partnership, the zoo aims to highlight the importance of minimizing environmental impact, protecting wildlife, and preserving resources for future generations. In this regard, volunteers of 50 members are participating in a community project on 26.10.2024, from 9:30 to 1:30pm with a title of Promoting recycling, waste reduction, and conservation practices. As part of the event, vounteers have played a critical role by collecting waste plastic at the university premises with that, creatives are made and displayed at the park. These creations not only showcase the harmful effects of plastic on wildlife but also emphasize the importance of recycling. Eye-catching sculptures and informational displays created from recycled plastic serve as educational tools and attractions, capturing visitors' attention and inspiring eco-friendly actions. Additionally, the campaign features interactive workshops where visitors can learn about waste management, recycling processes, and practical ways to reduce single-use plastics in daily life. These initiatives will foster an enduring commitment to environmental responsibility, helping visitors understand that small changes can lead to significant, positive impacts on the environment. Through this program, the mohan babu university continues to support conservation efforts, turning waste into a powerful vehicle for education and change. |
