IEEE Awareness & Orientation Session Report
The IEEE Awareness & Orientation Session was held with the objective of introducing students to the wide array of opportunities and benefits offered by IEEE. The session began at 11:20 AM with an introduction by Anusha, who welcomed Anannya Srivastava, CoSSR of IEEE Pune Section. Anannya provided a comprehensive overview of IEEE, covering its structure, various student benefits, and privileges. She highlighted key aspects such as IEEE SAC activities, awards, scholarships, and travel grants available at both global and section levels. Concluding her presentation, Anannya shared her personal experiences and how being part of IEEE has contributed to her growth as a student.
Mr. Amar Buchade, Vice Chair of IEEE Pune Section, then joined the session to further enlighten the attendees. He delved into the importance of IEEE societies and conferences, emphasizing how these platforms can significantly enhance students' professional and personal development. The session concluded with a quiz to engage the students, followed by the felicitation of the most interactive participants. This event successfully fostered awareness among the students about the numerous benefits and growth opportunities IEEE provides, sparking excitement for future involvement.
