2025 CES Download - Check out the latest tech innovations
This is the annual IEEE SFBA Consumer Technology Society (CTSoc) event providing a summary of the latest and unique tech innovations from the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. This event has proven to be very popular as many people working in related industries do not get to attend CES. CES's focus has expanded to beyond consumer electronic devices to many categories including wearables, smart homes, robotics, drones, medical and healthcare devices, etc.
2024 IEEE President, Tom Coughlin and Region 6 Director, Joseph Wei, both are past-chairs of SFBA CTSoc will share highlights of the unique tech solutions at CES that may not have been covered by the mainstream media. This will be an in-person event, and the room has limited capacity. Register early, do not miss this event to get a glance in the future of consumer technologies. Biography:
Tom Coughlin, President, Coughlin Associates is a digital storage analyst and business and technology consultant. He has over 38 years in the data storage industry with engineering and management positions at several companies. Coughlin Associates consults, publishes books and market and technology reports and puts on digital storage-oriented events. He is a regular storage and memory contributor for forbes.com and M&E organization websites. He is an IEEE Fellow, Past IEEE President, Past President of IEEE-USA and is active with SNIA and SMPTE. Joseph Wei
Biography:
Joseph Wei, Managing Director of Technology Ventures Group, LLC, a management advisory company to global corporations and startups on investment and Go To Market strategies. Previously, he co-founded Lab360 Hardware Incubator in Santa Clara, a hardware incubator that provided investment, mentorship, and business acceleration for early-stage IoT and Wearable startups. Joseph also held executive positions at Inventec, NEC, SGI and DEC (both SGI and Dec were acquired by HP). He is an IEEE Senior Member, Region 6 Director, San Francisco Bay Area Chair of the Engineering in Biology and Medicine Society, Treasurer of the Consumer Technology Society. He is the past-Chair of the Santa Clara Valley Section, past-BoG, past-SCV Chair of the Consumer Technology Society.
