Joe Olson, Traffic engineer will speak on the "Smart" aspects of the traffic control system in Fort Collins and conclude with a tour of the traffic operations center. Traffic Operations Building is North of New Belgium Brewery.

Attendence is limited to the first 20 people that register. If registration is full please email rtoftness@gmail.com and we will start  a waitlist. Joe Olson has offered that if we get enough people he will give his presentation a second time at a later date.

Biography:

Joe is the City Traffic Engineer for Fort Collins.  He has a degree in Civil Engineering from Idaho State University and has worked as a traffic engineer for nearly 30 years.  He’s a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado since 1995.  He worked as the Traffic Engineer in Longmont for 16 years and as the City Traffic Engineer in Fort Collins for the past nine years.

Biography:

Martina is the Assistant City Traffic Engineer with the City of Fort Collins.  She has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University, and a master’s degree in traffic from the University of Washington in Seattle.  In more than 20 years in the profession, she’s worked for state departments of transportation in Washington and Texas, has been a consultant, and starting in 2005 served as traffic engineer for Larimer County.  She’s been with the City of Fort Collins for three years.
