Then Tayeba invited the instructor, Engr. Sheikh Rafat Bin Ali to start the workshop. The instructor gave a short introduction about him and his company, Ulterior Engineering. He conducted the session in 3 parts. The 1st part was a brief discussion about the industrial automation instruments; Programmable Logic Controller(PLC), VFD & HMI. The instructor also provided guidance on job preparation, skills requirements in 21st-century job sectors, and the qualities needed for entrepreneurs in the technical sector. The 2nd part of the session was the Technical part. The instructor gave a quick explanation of the many kinds of automation systems and how they operate. The participants were able to learn more about the many kinds of industrial automation equipment thanks to this. In order to get the attendees more involved in the session and ensure they fully understood the subjects, the instructor included some entertaining bits.
There was a refreshment and jumma break at around 1:10 PM. Participants were given food to their seats. The session again continued from 2:00 PM.
Following the lunch break, the third part of the workshop was devoted to a practical demonstration of the HMI, VFD, and PLC that had been previously mentioned. The participants were then divided into three teams. They proceeded towards each piece of equipment that the teacher and his team had brought. The three teams received instruction on the apparatus and saw firsthand how it operated. The participants found it to be a highly engaging and informative portion of the event.
The instructor thanked everyone for attending the workshop and IEEE NSU IAS SBC for arranging it as he concluded the third part of the event. Finally, Engr. S received a token of appreciation.
