A talk on the topic “Empowering Electrical Engineering with Data Science” was conducted on 18th December 2024 for the II B.Tech EEE students to provide insights into applications of data science in electrical engineering. 

Dr. Suresh Babu Daram, Professor, EEE, MBU organized the alumni talk to EEE students. Ms. Panitha Vaishnavi, Alumni of EEE (2022 pass out batch) and Masters Student of Data Science, Central University of Florida, Florida was the resource person for the event. The event was organized in room no. 207 and 50 students participated in the session.

The session began with an overview of the rapid advancements in data science and its applications in electrical engineering. Key topics included the use of machine learning for predictive maintenance, optimization of power systems, and fault detection. The speaker emphasized the importance of leveraging big data and advanced analytics to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in electrical engineering projects.
