Efficient multi-objective optimization of tile-based phased arrays and multi-beam antenna designs
Prof. Simone Genovesi from South China University of Technology has been invited to deliver a lecture on the antenna phase arrays. The content of this lecture includes the design of phased arrays with irregular subarrays organization to minimize the number of transmitting/receiving modules, the identification of optimal parameters in terms of element positioning, the minimization of energy consumption as well as the reconfigurability of the element factor. The use of multi-objective optimization has also been introduced to address the management of conflicting goals. A brief introduction to additive manufacturing processes and their employment for the design of multibeam radiators such as transmitarray has been illustrated as well.
