Prof. Simone Genovesi from South China University of Technology has been invited to deliver a lecture on the antenna phase arrays. The content of this lecture includes the design of phased arrays with irregular subarrays organization to minimize the number of transmitting/receiving modules, the identification of optimal parameters in terms of element positioning, the minimization of energy consumption as well as the reconfigurability of the element factor. The use of multi-objective optimization has also been introduced to address the management of conflicting goals. brief introduction to additive manufacturing processes and their employment for the design of multibeam radiators such as transmitarray has been illustrated as well.
