Overview:
The three-day event INDUSTRONICS, focused on innovations in industrial electronics, was a grand success, marked by technical talks, industrial visits, networking sessions, and cultural activities. The event provided students with insights into cutting-edge technology and the opportunities available within the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES).
Day 1: 17th December
The first day of INDUSTRONICS began with an Inaugural Ceremony. The morning session featured a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Dr. V. Ashok Kumar, Dr. V. Narasimhulu, Dr. K. Nagaraju, and Dr. D. Lenine. This was followed by a prayer song performed by C. Pavithra, a 3rd-year student from the EEE Department, and a classical dance performance by Jahnavi, a 2nd-year student from the EEE Department.
The event formally commenced with speeches from distinguished guests. Dr. D. Lenine, IES Advisor, highlighted the achievements of the IES Chapter and encouraged participants to join the IEEE IES Society. Dr. V. Narasimhulu, Branch Counselor, spoke about the journey of the IEEE RGMCET Student Branch and motivated participants to utilize IEEE membership benefits. Dr. V. Ashok Kumar vice chair Ananthapuram subsection appreciated the students for their interest in IEEE and elaborated on its advantages. Lastly, Dr. K. Nagaraju delivered an insightful talk on the importance of the Internet of Things (IoT).
In the afternoon session, Ala Chalghaf, IEEE IES SAC Chair, discussed the community of Professionals in advanced Electronics,various opportunities and benefits offered by IEEE IES, including conferences and the Ambassadors Program. The day concluded with a Networking Session conducted by IES Execom members, providing a platform for participants to interact and share ideas. Day 1 ended on a successful note, leaving students inspired and eager for the next sessions.
Day 2: 18th December
The second day focused on an Industrial Visit to the wind power substation located near Gudur in the Kodumur hilly areas.
The morning session involved a visit to the substation, where participants observed its operations and gained practical insights into its functionality. In the afternoon, the group visited a windmill site. Field experts provided a detailed explanation of the safety measures, the process of generating electricity from wind energy, and the ratings and specifications of different wind turbines. By the end of the day, students had a comprehensive understanding of wind power generation and its applications.
Day 3: 19th December
The final day began with a Technical Talk by Dr. K. M. Ravi Eswar, who spoke on the topic of "Power Electronics Converters and Design for Renewable Energy Applications." This session provided students with an in-depth understanding of power electronics and its relevance to renewable energy.
Following this, IES Execom members conducted a Networking Session that included ice-breaking activities to foster interaction among participants.
In the afternoon, a second technical talk was delivered by Dr.Tripura Pidikiti from the chair,IES Hyderabad Section chapter. Her talk focused on unlocking opportunities in the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. She introduced the students to IEEE IES, explained the benefits of membership, and highlighted opportunities such as travel grants and other support programs. This session left students with a clearer understanding of IEEE IES and its value.
The event concluded with a series of cultural performances, showcasing the talents of the participants. Certificates were distributed to the winners of the recently held quiz competition. The day ended with a Valedictory Ceremony, marking the official conclusion of INDUSTRONICS.
Feedback and Outcome:
Participants provided overwhelmingly positive feedback on the event. They appreciated the engaging sessions, practical learning opportunities, and the chance to network with experts and peers. Over the three days, students gained valuable knowledge and were inspired to explore the opportunities available within IEEE IES. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of the organizers, speakers, and volunteers.

Dr.K.Nagaraju
Talk on Internet of Things(IOT)
Dr. K. Nagaraju, a distinguished expert in IOT Technology, delivered an insightful and thought-provoking talk on the Internet of Things (IoT). The speech covered the transformative power of IoT in connecting devices, systems, and people, shaping a future driven by automation, efficiency, and innovation.
Dr. Nagaraju highlighted how IoT is revolutionizing industries such as healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, and smart cities. He delved into the technical foundations of IoT, including sensors, connectivity, and data analytics, while emphasizing its societal impact and potential to improve quality of life.
The talk also addressed challenges such as security, privacy, and scalability, offering solutions and strategies to overcome them. Dr. Nagaraju’s engaging presentation inspired the audience to explore the endless opportunities IoT offers and envision a smarter, more interconnected world.
Biography:
Dr. Nagaraju K is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Assistant
Professor (Grade-1) at IIITDM Kurnool, where he brings over 15 years of expertise in teaching and
research. He earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Calicut in 2020,
complementing his academic journey with an M.Tech in CSE from ANU Guntur (2009) and a B.Tech
in CSE from JNTU Hyderabad (2004).
Academic Journey
Dr. Nagaraju began his teaching career at Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and
Technology (RGMCET), where he served from 2004 to 2013. During this time, he played a vital role
in imparting quality education, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental and institutional
growth. His tenure at RGMCET laid a solid foundation for his academic career and cultivated his
passion for teaching and research.
Since joining IIITDM Kurnool in August 2021, Dr. Nagaraju has been instrumental in delivering
theory courses and lab courses at the undergraduate level, as well as guiding postgraduate students.
He has actively contributed to curriculum development and played a leading role in laboratory
establishment, ensuring that students gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

The community of Professionals in advanced Electronics
Ala Chalghaf, a visionary leader in advanced electronics, delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of building a robust community of professionals in this cutting-edge field. With a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in advanced electronics, Chalghaf emphasized the collective power of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
The speech explored how a strong professional network can drive technological breakthroughs, foster career growth, and enable interdisciplinary problem-solving. Ala Chalghaf underscored the role of communities in advancing fields like semiconductor technology, embedded systems, and nanotechnology while addressing global challenges such as sustainability, energy efficiency, and connectivity.
Chalghaf’s vision resonated with the audience, advocating for a culture of mentorship, lifelong learning, and inclusivity within the community. His address inspired professionals to contribute actively to this dynamic field, shaping a future defined by technological excellence and collaborative progress.
Biography:
Ala Chalghaf joined the IES Membership Committee as the IES student representative and Student Activities Committee chair in 2023. Learn about the creator of the IES Student Ambassador Program and discover a young member full of new ideas for our society.He is a Graduated Software Engineer specializing in Data Science & MLOps,currently works with a Tunisian Start-up,Deepvolt, As a Lead Data Scientist, the promising start-up is Empowering E-Mobility with AI Solutions. Ala is an active IEEE volunteer since 2020,most notably as IEEE ESPRIT SB Chair in 2021/2022 term, the largest Student Branch in Region 8 with over 600 members, also as chair of the 10th edition for the Tunisian SYP congress in 2022 that happened in conjunction with the Young Professional in Space congress, hosting over 1100 participants over 3 days program and as of 2023 the chair of IEs Student Activities committee and a crsp member in the region 8 WIE committee.

Power Electronics converter and Design for Renewable Energy Application
Dr. K.M. Ravi Eswar, a renowned expert in power electronics, delivered an insightful presentation on the critical role of power electronics converters in advancing renewable energy technologies. The talk provided a comprehensive overview of the design principles, operational strategies, and innovations in power electronics that are driving the global shift toward sustainable energy solutions.
Dr. Ravi Eswar explored various types of converters, such as DC-DC, DC-AC, and multi-level inverters, and their applications in solar, wind, and hybrid renewable systems. He discussed the challenges of efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in converter design while offering practical solutions and highlighting recent advancements in semiconductor materials, control algorithms, and thermal management.
The presentation also addressed the integration of renewable energy sources into smart grids, energy storage systems, and microgrid architectures, emphasizing the importance of scalability and sustainability. Dr. Ravi Eswar’s engaging delivery and technical depth inspired the audience to embrace innovative approaches in power electronics, accelerating the transition to a greener, energy-efficient future.
Biography:
Dr. K.M. Ravi Eswar was born in Kurnool, India, in 1993. He received
the B.Tech. Degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,
Ananthapur, India, in 2014, and the M.Tech. Degree from Vellore Institute
of Technology, Vellore, India, in 2016. He achieved third rank in M.Tech
(Power Electronics and Drives), Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore.
He received the Ph.D. degree from National Institute of Technology (NIT),
Warangal, India, in 2020.
He is currently an Assistant professor with the Department of Electrical
and Electronics Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology- Main campus,
(Category I University, NAAC: A++ Grade, Engineering NIRF- 13 rank), Kattankulathur
603203, Chennai, India. He received two gold medals for his research excellence presentation
on “PMSM Drives for Electric Vehicle Application” held at SRM Institute of Science and
Technology-Kattankulathur, India. He has authored several scientific papers in the field of
electric motor drives, published in reputed journals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
(IEEE Transactions and Journals, IET Journals, and T & F Journals). He acted as a resource
person to deliver technical talk on Electric Vehicles in Faculty Development Programs
sponsored by AICTE, ISTE and TEQIP. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator (PI) of
SERB sponsored government funded research project starting from 2023 for a period of 3
years. His current research interests include electric motor drives, power electronic converter
circuits, and application of model predictive control.

Unlocking opportunities with IEEE Industrial Electronics Society
Dr. Tripura Pidikiti,chair of IES Hyderabad Section Chapter,delivered an enlightening talk on the immense opportunities provided by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES). The session highlighted the Society’s role in fostering innovation, professional growth, and global collaboration within the field of industrial electronics and its applications.
Dr. Tripura Pidikiti emphasized how the IEEE IES serves as a platform for researchers, professionals, and students to connect, share knowledge, and contribute to advancements in areas like control systems, robotics, power electronics, and intelligent manufacturing. She showcased the various resources available through the Society, including access to cutting-edge research, technical events, and professional development programs.

Biography:
Dr. Tripura Pidikiti, an accomplished academic and researcher, is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. With over 22 years of teaching experience, Dr. Pidikiti has significantly contributed to the fields of power electronics, wind energy conversion systems, and solar PV technologies. She earned her Ph.D. from JNTU Kakinada in 2020, focusing on "Investigations of AC Generators for Wind Energy Conversion Systems." Her academic journey includes an M.Tech in Power Electronics and Electric Drives from Vignan’s Engineering College and a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NBKR Institute of Science and Technology.
Dr. Pidikiti’s research interests encompass power electronics and drives, renewable energy systems, and advanced control techniques like model predictive control. She has authored numerous research papers in high-impact journals and conferences and has reviewed manuscripts for reputed international journals. Her innovative contributions include several patents, including an AI-based smart power grid management system.
As an active member of professional organizations, she serves as the Chair of the Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Chapter, IEEE Hyderabad Section. Dr. Pidikiti is a Senior Member of IEEE, involved in organizing high-profile events, delivering guest lectures, and mentoring students in research and innovation. Her efforts have attracted significant grants for organizing international conferences and workshops, furthering her commitment to academic excellence and technological advancement.
