Young engineers and scientists career development
Adjunct Professor Else Shepherd AM is coming to tell some stories about engineers career path and development. She was named one of the most influential engineers in Australia for a few times. Else was the first chairperson for Powerlink for 17 years. Powerlink is a Queensland government owned electricity utility company with billions dollars of assets and is responsible for high voltage electricity transmission in Queensland. Else has also served on a number of other boards and she was a director of the Australian national electricity market management company. She is a trained musician and a pioneer in breaking barriers to women’s professional acceptance.
