Cubesat design and development training
This CubeSat design and development training will be essential in order to create more awareness around the space sector in Kenya and also to build on the capacity of the Kenyan students in terms of satellite engineering and especially for the female engineering students who are part of IEEE-WIE.
It will be a three week course involving around 25 students and instructors from the Kenya Space Agency that will compromise of theoretical sessions where the students shall learn about the sub-systems involved in a CubeSat and the process of formulating a white paper for a space mission and also hands on sessions where the students shall interact with CubeSat kits and by the end of it build a prototype of a 1U CubeSat that will perform basic functions like attitude determination of the CubeSat through the magneto torquers.
