Speaker: Larry Moore, of Tangoe

Biography: Larry Moore has thirty years of experience in Information Technology, specializing in Information Security in the last eighteen years.  His projects span diverse areas of Information Security, including architecture, secure software development, penetration testing, server administration, project management, and executive management. He was employed by the State of Texas, working on critical infrastructure protection.  Upon graduation from college Larry worked for NASA.  Following that, he developed applications, device drivers and kernel extensions for various operating systems, such as OS2, Windows, and UNIX.  His work on the AIX security kernel included audit, single sign-on, PKI.  Development of a behavioral-based intrusion detection tool became a precursor to his migration to the information security field.  He recently served as the lead Solution Security Officer for Gemalto’s North American region.  There he ensured the proper delivery of security requirements for the company’s trusted platforms and mobile payment solutions for large an small customers.  He also audited, designed, or modified the security programs for three of the company’s large data centers, enabling customer mobile payment processing.

 
Larry serves on the board at the Computer Science department at Parker University in Dallas and at the Austin chapter of the International Systems and Security Association.  He is Vice-President and IT Sector Chief for the Austin chapter of Infragard.  He has given numerous presentations and authored several articles on security architecture, threat intelligence, and software development.  Larry has a degree in Computer Science from Florida Institute of Technology.
