The seminar aimed to assist 5th-semester Electrical Engineering students in making an informed decision about choosing their specialized streams—Power or Communication Engineering. With the growing significance of both fields, the seminar provided valuable insights into the career opportunities and challenges that each stream offers. Dr. Faisal Nadeem, an expert in Electrical Power Engineering, presented the key aspects of power systems, energy management, and the role of electrical power engineers in shaping the future of sustainable energy. He discussed the broad range of career opportunities in sectors like energy generation, transmission, and distribution, as well as the potential for innovation in renewable energy sources.

On the other hand, Dr. Junaid Mir, a distinguished figure in Electrical Communication Engineering, focused on the rapidly evolving field of communication technologies. He highlighted the importance of communication systems in the modern world, from telecommunication networks to satellite communication and emerging fields like 5G and IoT (Internet of Things). Dr. Mir elaborated on the diverse career prospects within telecommunications, networking, and data communication, urging students to consider the fast-paced technological advancements in communication engineering. Both speakers offered students a comprehensive view of the professional landscape in their respective fields, helping them make a more informed and confident choice in selecting their stream for the remainder of their academic journey.
