Benefits of IEEE Membership 2024
On 23rd October 2024, a Membership Development Session on "Benefits of IEEE Membership" was conducted exclusively for the first year students at Carmel College of Engineering and Technology, led by Assistant Professor Vishnu S, the Branch Counselor of IEEE CCET SB. The session focused on the vision and mission of IEEE, explaining how the organization drives innovation and supports professionals in the fields of engineering and technology. Professor Vishnu highlighted the numerous benefits of IEEE membership, such as access to technical resources, global networking opportunities, and involvement in leadership roles.
He also discussed previously conducted IEEE events, showcasing photographs of past activities to illustrate the impact and engagement of IEEE members. The Chair, Secretary, Membership Development Committee members of IEEE CCET SB were also present during the session, further contributing to the discussion and encouraging students to get involved.
The session was highly informative and well-received, providing students with a clear understanding of the advantages of joining IEEE. By the end of the session, 90% of the attendees expressed interest in becoming IEEE members, reflecting the session's success in fostering enthusiasm and encouraging participation.
