Richmond Section EXCOM Meeting

Dear IEEE Richmond Section ExCom Members,

This is a formal request for your attendance at the upcoming IEEE Richmond Section Executive Committee (ExCom) Meeting scheduled for:

Date: Wednesday, January 22, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM (EST)
Location: Virtual Meeting via Webex - Join the Meeting Her

Your participation is critical as we need a quorum (50%+ of voting members) to approve the budget for the upcoming year. Approval of this budget is essential to fund activities and initiatives planned for 2025. Without this approval, we will not be able to proceed with planned programs, events, or expenditures.

To achieve quorum, we require at least 8 voting members to be present.

Agenda:
The detailed agenda will be distributed by next week. In the meantime, please mark your calendars and plan to attend this important meeting.

Voting and Representation Details:

Chapter Chairs, Affinity Group Chairs, and Student Branch Chairs may designate an alternate representative to vote on behalf of their group. If you wish to assign an alternate, please notify Allen Jones (allen.jones@ieee.org) and me in advance to include the alternate in communications.

Note: Allen Jones can't be a substitute or alternative for the below.

Note: Substitute votes are not permitted for the following positions:

• Section Chair – Gokul Pandy
• Section Secretary – Jayanna Hallur
• Section Treasurer – Suhas Jangaon
• Section Past Chair – Allen Jones
• Member-at-Large – Dale Herdegen

If you hold one of these roles and are unable to attend, please inform Allen Jones (allen.jones@ieee.org) and me at your earliest convenience so we can monitor quorum status.

We will try to cover the budget approval early in the meeting for those who are not able to attend the entire meeting.
