Event Overview: On December 30, 2024, the IEEE TTU Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) hosted an engaging and professional workshop on Git & GitHub in the Robotics Lab at Tafila Technical University. The event, organized primarily by IEEE TTU RAS and co-organized by IEEE TTU SIGHT and IEEE TTU WIE, attracted a full house with over 40 participants, surpassing the laboratory’s 30-seat capacity. Attendees included students from various engineering and technical disciplines eager to enhance their skills in version control and collaborative software development.
Description: The Git & GitHub workshop was designed to introduce participants to the fundamental concepts and practical applications of version control systems and collaborative coding platforms. Led by Abdulqader Dada, an Intelligent Systems Engineer, the session provided a comprehensive learning experience for students seeking to advance their technical skills in software development and teamwork.

His engaging teaching style and practical approach to complex concepts provided participants with a clear understanding of both foundational and advanced topics. Obaidah Alsaleh is a third-year student of Communication and Electronics Engineering at Tafila Technical University and the Chairperson of the IEEE TTU Robotics and Automation Society (RAS). With a strong passion for programming, electronics, and embedded systems, Obaidah is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for students to learn and grow.
As a proactive leader, he has been instrumental in organizing events, workshops, and initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills. Obaidah's focus lies in empowering peers through hands-on learning experiences, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing the field of robotics and automation within the university community.
Under his leadership, IEEE TTU RAS has achieved new milestones, including becoming the largest IEEE student chapter at the university. His commitment to excellence and drive for innovation inspire those around him to strive for success in both academic and extracurricular endeavors.

- 2:20 PM - 2:50 PM: Introduction to Git by Abdulqader Dada.
- 2:50 PM - 3:30 PM: Core Git commands and concepts.
- 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Coffee break with waffles and Jordanian coffee.
- 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: GitHub introduction and demonstration.
- 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Hands-on session (creating repositories, collaboration).
- 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Photo session and networking.
